Nowadays, basketball teams design their offense around the 3-point shot. If your team isn't playing with pace and space, you're probably falling behind!

In this video, Marquette University head coach Steve Wojciechowski shows you how he uses the 3-point shot in his "Warriors Game" offense to create the pace and space needed to put up lots of points. You'll get three drills - the Steph Curry, Magic 10, and Ray Allen drills - that emphasize the 3-point shot. Additionally, you'll see how to develop fundamentals, systems and breakdown drills in your offense.

Creating a Year-Long Shooting Program

Coach Wojciechowski shares how he gets his players to shoot 1,500 game shots a week in the off-season. He teaches how the Steph Curry Drill gives athletes game-like 3-point shots in three-minute intervals, the Magic 10 Drill gets players to make consecutive shots before moving on, and the Ray Allen Drill helps players work on their footwork while on the move.

You'll also learn how to create your own shooting drills that give players many quality reps without taking too much time.

Offensive Fundamentals and Systems

Wojciechowski explains how to create and develop offensive systems and fundamentals that best utilize your team's personnel. You'll see how to get your players the highest percentage shot possible and how to get your best players to take the most shots.

Additionally, Coach Wojciechowski shows how to utilize spacing in your offense and how to teach fundamentals such as catching and facing the basket.

Warriors Game

Marquette's pace and space 3-point oriented offense is called "Warriors Game." This style of offense uses all five players and aims to get a 3-point shot, a lay-up or a foul shot on every possession. You'll see how to:

  • Use the double drag in your offense
  • Use a ball reversal to a through cut
  • Use a ball reversal to an exchange action
  • Use a ball reversal to a chase ball screen

Coach Wojciechowski gives you the tools to play in today's evolving pace and space style game. This video is a must-have for coaches who want to use the 3-point shot to their advantage.
